I had some early on and long-lasting traumatic experiences, and as anyone would, I moved through the world carrying my trauma, living through filters that either I had created or had been given to me in childhood. I was numb, dissociated, highly anxious, and the results of not being in flow with myself or life started to take its toll.

I was searching for answers, a way that I could become comfortable in my body. One of the many approaches I was taking at the time was weekly group Conscious Breathwork sessions targeted towards supporting the release of trauma. One day in a session, I was coming up to the wall of some really old grief that had not been felt. My breathwork coach came over and pressed on an area around my shoulder, and the grief broke free…Oh, the relief! Some space had freed up inside, and for once, I did not feel like my body was going to explode due to pent-up pressure spontaneously, the pressure that was holding in my unexpressed sadness and grief that had been piling up over the years. I also didn’t feel my heart would stop beating; I had room to breathe!

Discovering that I could cultivate more internal safety by releasing the held imprints in my body, a personal mission was born. I began seeking out different modalities and techniques I could implement to aid me in my goal of making my body a safe place to live and a place I loved
to be in. In opening up and becoming willing and eager to try various experiences, I began to explore the depths of my being and find comfort in the edges, and I became a person I loved.

Fast-forward to becoming the change I wish to see in the world. These days, I offer both breathwork sessions and intentional bodywork sessions. My soul’s purpose is to shine a light on the way for others to see that there is a different lens to look at how we approach healing, the body, and all the beautiful, useful emotions that are there, and to provide healing work that is nourishing to the spirit.

What I have learned is that the more we let go and let flow internally while offering love and compassion to ourselves along the way, the safer our bodies become. And the safer our bodies become, the more we want to actually be present in them! I present the opportunity for another road to travel along for a bit of a long while on your path to becoming harmoniously embodied.
